The Dallas Dressage Club has established scholarships benefiting Trainers, Adult Amateurs and Junior/Young Rider members. Scholarship applications are accepted by the Scholarship Committee April 1-May 31 and September 1-October 31 of each year. Scholarship recipients will be notified in June and November. To qualify, the applicant must:

  • Be a member in good standing with the Dallas Dressage Club
  • Not have received a scholarship from DDC during the preceding 2 year period; and
  • Either meet a minimum of 4 volunteer hours prior to applying for scholarship and list the hours on your application. Or, apply for scholarship and commit to meet required volunteer hours prior to receiving the scholarship money.

 Examples of Volunteer work:

  Schooling Shows or Recognized shows

  Runner (picking up test from judges and delivering it to show secretary)

  Ring Steward: Spring Show we need (3), Lemonade Daze and Yellow Rose (1 ea)

  Warm Up-Gate Keeper

  Fundraising

  Assisting with Educational Programs


The following Scholarships are being offered:


April 1st - May 31st (submission dates):

  • Open Riders/Trainers: Two- $500 scholarships toward an educational opportunity/clinic.
  • Adult Amateurs: Two - $500 scholarships toward an educational opportunity/clinic. 
  • Juniors: a $500 scholarship to the George Williams USDF Jr/Yr clinic to be split equally to the members who are selected by USDF to ride; and one -$500 scholarship for an educational opportunity/clinic. 
  • "L" Program Scholarship:  One - $500 scholarship open to anyone wanting to attend, audit and/or participate in the "L" Program.

September 1st - October 31st (submission dates):
  • Open Riders/Trainers: Two $1,500 scholarships toward attending the annual trainers conference in Florida or California. 
  • Adult Amateurs: Two- $500 scholarships toward an educational opportunity/clinic. 
  • Juniors: Two -$500 scholarships for an educational opportunity/clinic. 
  • "L" Program Scholarship:  One - $500 scholarship open to anyone wanting to attend, audit and/or participate in the "L" Program.


In addition, the DDC has committed to donate over $2,000 to the Region 9 NAYC riders to assist the Junior/Young Rider Region 9 Teams.
